We are all on some journey in life – marriage, parenting, career, etc. To me the most important journey is that of sanctification. The journey will not be over until we stand before Christ face to face. In the meantime, we are told to “press toward the mark.” No matter how long or hard the traveling process becomes in life, learn to enjoy the ride because our sovereign God is the one driving the vehicle.
Where does one begin to tell about herself? Um…Well, for starters, I’m Amy Kinnard. I guess you already knew the “Kinnard” part by finding this blog, but I just wanted to be clear. I have been married to a wonderful man named Tim for the past eight years (and plan on staying married to him for the rest of my life). Because of Tim’s never-ending hard work, he has allowed me the privilege of being a stay-at-home mom to our three adorable boys and one daughter – E (7), I (5), A (3) and H (1). Tim works full-time at a law firm as an assistant paralegal, a bi-vocational pastor at Crystal Valley Baptist Church, and serves as president of the Arkansas Down Syndrome Association. My full-time job is mom and homeschool teacher as well as animal caretaker. Life became even fuller after enrolling our son with Down syndrome in the National Association of Child Development (NACD) and implementing the program into our daily lives. On top of all of this, we are endeavoring to continue our work building our homestead which began with building our own home from the ground up.
